Our Story
A very warm welcome from both of us! We're Chloe and Kevin Wilkins, the owners and hosts here at Collie Shepherd Huts. We poured our hearts into creating this special retreat, and we're so delighted to be able to share our little corner of the world with you.
Who We Are
Our story is a blend of authentic farm heritage and a passion for heartfelt hospitality. This land has been in our family for generations, with Kevin being a third-generation dairy farmer and our children ready to be the fourth. It's a place we love deeply.
How We Started / Our Journey So Far
For 35 years, Chloe dedicated her life to a caring profession. Together with her husband Kevin they dreamed of creating a different kind of haven, a place where people could truly unwind, reconnect with nature, and find peace away from the rush of everyday life.
In 2021, that dream took root in a quiet corner of the farm’s old orchard. It was there that the first shepherd’s hut was lovingly crafted, surrounded by birdsong and steeped in tranquility.
Today, that vision has grown. We’re proud to share not just one, but two beautiful shepherd’s huts. Each offers a cosy, peaceful escape nestled in nature and thoughtfully designed to help you slow down, breathe deeply, and feel at home.

For us, this is more than just glamping. It’s about creating a space where the simple luxury of a handcrafted shepherd’s hut meets the wild beauty of the Somerset countryside. We believe a true escape means not having to choose between a five-star experience and an authentic one.
We’ve designed our huts to be private, opulent oases in the heart of nature. From the plush furnishings and sumptuous bedding to the en-suite bathrooms and private wood-fired hot tubs, every detail is here to help you unwind and feel utterly pampered. We want you to feel the tranquillity of the wilderness while enjoying all the comforts of a luxury retreat – whether that’s lounging in the hot tub beneath a blanket of stars or simply watching the sunset paint the sky.
